Alaska has been the Northern-most state of the United States of America since its admittance in 1959. It was cut off from the rest of the country by Canada until Canada was annexed either on February 14, 2075 or in January 2076. Alaska was one of the major sites of fighting during the war with China, noteably around the Anchorage Front Line. It was very important during the War because of the Trans Alaska pipeline.
